Even though I did a serious research on the ketogenic diet for months, I didn’t hear anything about fat head dough. But right after I started living a ketogenic life, it somehow started occurring everywhere! Fat head empanadas, pizza dough, bagels, crackers, cinnamon rolls etc. were everywhere! Therefore, I had to try it out.
It is a fairly simple dough to make. Fat head dough consists of just a few ingredients you probably always have around the kitchen pantry. You can make savory but also sweet, baked or fried dishes with it. The possibilities are endless.
The dough itself can be altered depending on the dish you are making. Here you will find the basic recipe. I will be posting more recipes involving fat head dough in the future. You can see the pictures of several variations of this dough (all savory).
* Preparation time of the dough itself is about 15 minutes, while the cooking/baking can take more or less than 30 minutes, depending on what you are making.
**Calories are calculated for the whole batch. Depending on what you are making, divide the total number with the number of servings.
